For stores that are running Windows XP, these are the options to address the Windows XP "end of life" concern and be PCI compliant:









As a reminder, to be completely PCI compliant, you will still be required to have an External Firewall Appliance, take an annual Self-Assessment Questionnaire and have quarterly Network Scans from a certified PCI scanning company.

If your store is currently running Windows XP and processing credit cards via high speed Internet, you must complete an upgrade prior to April 2014 to avoid having to replace the entire POS system. If your store is currently running Windows XP and processing credit cards via dial-up Internet, you are strongly encouraged to complete an upgrade prior to April 2014 to avoid having to replace the entire POS system in the event your computer stops functioning after April 2014.

Your Area Developer or Regional Director of Operations has store-specific information as to which stores are believed to be affected and the recommended course of action for each store. You can also contact the POS Help Desk at 877.811.3811 for more information and to begin the upgrade process. 


Windows XP End of Life - CONTINUED
·Upgrade to Windows 7 if computer can be updated without replacement (approximate cost = $800.00)

·Purchase a new computer which will come with Windows 7 if computer cannot be updated without replacement (approximate cost = $1300.00)

·Purchase FOCUS POS System (approximate cost = $7500.00)
